Job Details:

* Night shift position in Labor & Delivery
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* First time travelers welcome
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; 3 years preferred
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* 4-6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications accepted)
* Skills required include: antepartum care, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, circulating for C-sections, recovering C-section patients, insulin drips, isolation precautions/PPE, maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC), sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, and use of external fetal heart monitoring (EFM)
* Unit serves neonatal and adult patient populations
* 15-room, 15-bed unit
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* May be required to float to like units within scope based on facility needs

This facility is a well-supported Labor & Delivery unit equipped with comprehensive interdisciplinary services to ensure high-quality patient care. The unit handles between 100 and 200 births per month and is staffed with robust support teams including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The facility fosters a collaborative care environment suited for both experienced travelers and first-time travel nurses.
