Opportunity:

RN - Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry

Job Details:

* 3x12 or 4x12 night shift schedule
* Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 1:3 or 1:4
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First time travelers accepted
* Charting system experience required - Epic
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Must be proficient in blood product administration, central line care and management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, managing cardiac drips without titration, managing vasoactive drips without titration, management of dysrhythmias, non-invasive airway management, and peripheral line care and management
* Experience with Rapid Response and Code teams required
* Special equipment used includes BIPAP/CPAP, IPPB, and HHF
* Floating to other units possible
* No on-call required
* Up to two pre-approved time off requests allowed
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Common patient diagnoses include heart failure, TAVR, CABG, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, renal failure, and respiratory failure
* Special procedures include emergent cardioversion and central line placement
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation

This facility operates a 24-bed Progressive Care, Stepdown, and Telemetry floor and is recognized as a comprehensive stroke center, Level II Trauma, and Chest Pain Accredited facility. The organization is equipped to provide complex care to patients undergoing PCI and open-heart surgery, supported by a robust interdisciplinary team and modern equipment to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
