Opportunity:

RN - Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry

Job Details:

* 3x12 hour night shifts
* Weekend coverage required with 6 weekend shifts per contract
* Block scheduling type
* Patient ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Charting system experience required - Epic
* Float to other units possible
* No on-call required
* Up to two pre-approved time off requests allowed
* 50-mile radius rule applies - no local candidates
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Treat patients with diagnoses including heart failure, TAVR, CABG, stroke, sepsis, diabetes, renal failure, and respiratory failure
* Perform special procedures including emergent cardioversion and central line placement
* Operate specialized equipment including BIPAP/CPAP, IPPB, and HHF
* Required skills include blood product administration, central line care and management, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, managing cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, management of dysrhythmias, non-invasive airway management, peripheral line care and management, and use of rapid response and code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

Facility:

This 24-bed Progressive Care/Stepdown/Telemetry facility is a comprehensive stroke center, Level II Trauma, and Chest Pain Accredited facility with the capability to provide complex care to patients undergoing PCI and open-heart surgery. The unit maintains a daily census of approximately 23 patients and offers robust interdisciplinary support services to ensure high-quality patient outcomes across a range of complex medical conditions.
