Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Schedule options of 4x12 or 3x12 nights
* 3 weekend shifts required per 4-week scheduling period
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* 34-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry monitoring
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7 with a daily census of approximately 30 patients
* Serves adult patient population
* Charting system: Cerner
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Travel experience not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must be through American Heart Association)
* Scrubs not provided
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles from the facility
* Facility will only tolerate 2-3 call-offs per contract
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
* Skills required include telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, central line care/management, heparin protocols, wound care/wound vac, PICC line management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias

Facility:

This facility features a dynamic 34-bed medical/surgical unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions. The unit utilizes an acuity tool to optimize patient assignments and ensure appropriate staffing levels. Clinical nurse coordinators provide leadership on every shift, facilitating daily huddles, managing patient flow, and rounding on patients. The unit fosters a collaborative environment among registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, clinical assistants, unit clerks, and patient care technicians to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
