Opportunity:

ICU Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Intensive Care Unit
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week (48 hours at straight time allowed)
* Patient ratio of 1:2 maintained on days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
* Float required to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, and CVICU with a maximum of 4 patients while floating
* Minimum 1.5+ years of experience required; first-time travelers welcome
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Pending NM/Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start)
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, PICC line management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and suctioning (ETT, NT)
* Treats adult patient population
* 32-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy

The ICU is a 32-bed unit supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility also includes a heart hospital as part of its broader medical campus, providing comprehensive cardiovascular and specialty care to the surrounding community.
