Opportunity:

CVICU Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
* Every other weekend required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for nights and weekends
* May float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU as needed
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers welcome
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
* Scrub color: Navy
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Unit consists of a mix of cardiac surgical and cardiac medical patients, with occasional adult medical ICU overflow
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, CVVHD/CRRT, Impella, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure, PICC line management, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, sheath removal, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

This facility features a 24-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit equipped to handle a diverse mix of cardiac surgical and cardiac medical patients. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The facility maintains a strong commitment to patient care with consistent staffing ratios and access to multiple specialty ICU units.
