Opportunity:
ICU Nights
Job Details:
* Night shift position in the Intensive Care Unit
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week, with 48 hours at straight time allowed
* 1.5+ years of experience required
* First-time travel nurses accepted
* Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
* Float required - may be floated to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, or CVICU, capped at 4 patients maximum while floating
* 32-bed unit serving adult patient populations
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Pending NM or Compact license accepted (must be obtained prior to start)
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, PICC line management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and more
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams

This facility is a well-equipped intensive care unit with 32 beds dedicated to providing high-acuity patient care for adult populations. The unit offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility is part of a larger medical center network and maintains high standards of critical care with a strong focus on patient safety and quality outcomes.
