Open Position: Sports Medicine - Athletic Trainer

Opportunity:

Athletic Trainer - ATC

Job Details:

* Weekday schedule starts around 3:00 PM; weekend schedule varies based on game times
* Serve as an integral member of the school's healthcare and athletic team
* Work closely with student-athletes, coaches, parents/guardians, physicians, and school administration
* Daily availability required to evaluate injuries and illnesses
* Develop and monitor rehabilitation plans for student-athletes
* Coordinate referrals and follow-up care
* Maintain appropriate medical documentation
* Assist with safe return-to-participation decisions
* Provide coverage across multiple sports, practices, competitions, and other school-sponsored athletic activities
* Patients are adolescent age group with approximately 40 visits per day
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Must be licensed through the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses (DOPL)
* Required certifications: BLS, BOC
* 50-mile radius rule applies - no local candidates

This facility operates within a high school athletic program that requires dedicated full-time athletic training coverage to ensure the health and safety of student-athletes. The organization maintains a formal agreement to provide certified athletic trainer coverage at each high school, emphasizing the importance of consistent medical oversight during practices, competitions, and school-sponsored athletic activities.
