Job Details:

* 36 or 48 hour shift options available
* Variable shifts including weekends and holidays required
* Patient ratio of 1:7 on days, nights, and weekends
* 1 year of nursing experience required
* Travel experience not required
* Required certifications: RN Idaho License, BLS, CPI, MAB
* Charting system experience required
* Apply nursing process knowledge for patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Document thoroughly as care is delivered following regulatory and hospital requirements
* Maintain clinical competencies and support professional development of self and others
* Utilize good judgment, demonstrate patience, and maintain professional demeanor at all times
* Must be able to work in a busy and stressful environment with evolving patient safety requirements
* Proficiency required in computer skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and electronic medical records software
* Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills required
* Experience with behavioral health skills including de-escalation techniques, crisis intervention, medication administration, and physical hold protocols preferred
* Familiarity with conditions such as anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, and substance use preferred
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams

Facility:

This behavioral health facility operates a 19-bed inpatient unit with a daily census of 14 patients, providing specialized psychiatric care across a range of mental health conditions. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, phlebotomy, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams. The facility maintains a structured and collaborative care environment focused on patient safety and quality outcomes.
