Opportunity:

RN - Medical-Surgical / Telemetry

Job Details:

* 3x12-hour day shifts
* Half of scheduled shifts will include weekend coverage
* Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
* Travel experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: NIHSS, BLS
* Patient ratio of 1:6 on days, nights, and weekends
* Unit consists of 19 rooms including 18 private rooms and one semi-private room with a maximum census of 20 patients
* Patient population ranges from young adults through geriatrics with a broad range of care needs
* Medical-surgical unit with telemetry monitoring capabilities
* Required skills include telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV starts and management, PICC line management, central line blood draw, blood product administration, heparin and insulin administration, wound care, PCA management, feeding tube care, and colostomy/ileostomy management
* Additional skills include pre/post hemodialysis management, pre/post neurosurgery care, renal failure management, spinal cord injury care, traumatic brain injury care, CVA care, phlebotomy, and use of rapid response/code teams

The medical-surgical telemetry unit is supported by an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, phlebotomy, rapid response teams, and interpretation services, ensuring comprehensive patient care across a diverse patient population.
