Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg Tele

Job Details:

* Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week
* Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
* Travel experience preferred
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
* Patient ratio: 1:6
* Care for young adult through geriatric patients with medical-surgical and neurological diagnoses
* Patient population includes acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, TIA, seizure disorders, traumatic brain injury, and neurosurgical diagnoses
* Unit equipped with continuous telemetry and pulse oximetry monitoring
* Required skills include: blood product administration, chest tube management, CBI, CVA care, feeding tube care, heparin and insulin administration, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, PICC line management, pre/post neurosurgery care, spinal cord injury care, telemetry monitoring, traumatic brain injury care, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Work within an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
* Half of contract weekends required
* No call or float required

The unit is committed to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered care with a focus on neurological assessment, stroke recovery, secondary stroke prevention, and optimizing functional outcomes. The facility provides robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams.
