Opportunity:
Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology
Job Details:
* 4x10 hour shifts with two 30-minute breaks
* Every other weekend requirement
* Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays per unit needs
* On call every 3rd week from Monday to Sunday
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* EPIC charting experience required
* Active NJ or Compact license required at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Must be a proficient PICC and Midline nurse with ability to administer moderate sedation and circulate in IR procedures
* Preferred experience: IR, procedural experience in OR/CVOR, Cath Lab, CCU or ICU
* Required clinical skills include: central line insertion and management, PICC care, implanted ports, IV therapy, infusion pumps, blood product administration, central venous access, thoracic aortography, end-tidal CO2 monitoring, procedural sedation monitoring, radiation and laser safety, pre/post-procedure care
* Procedures include: chest tube placement, lung biopsy, pulmonary angiography and embolization, thoracentesis, chemoembolization, liver biopsy and ablation, paracentesis, TIPS, nephrostomy, renal angiography and stent, uterine arterial embolization
* Must be comfortable administering emergency medications, sedation, and reversal agents
* Floating within skillset is required without exception
* Ratios vary based on census, patient acuity, and staffing
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred

This facility provides comprehensive Interventional Radiology services, performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures across vascular, oncologic, and complex medical conditions for a high-acuity patient population, including cardiac and transplant cases. This 665-bed quaternary care teaching hospital is affiliated with a major medical school and is nationally recognized for its cardiac and transplant programs, including one of the nation's largest heart transplant centers and the state's only Advanced Lung Disease and Transplant Program.
