RN - L&D/PP/MB

Job Details:

* Night shift position with 12-hour shifts
* 3 full weekends required in a 6-week period
* 3 weekend (Friday-Saturday) on-call shifts required per 6-week period
* 1 full summer holiday and 1 full winter holiday required
* 3 call shifts per 6-week period
* Possible floating as helping hands to other units
* Self-scheduling available
* Work in an 8-bed LDRP unit averaging approximately 35 deliveries per month
* Care for low-risk patients greater than 36 weeks gestation
* Titrate drips including Oxytocin and occasional Magnesium Sulfate
* Read own fetal monitoring strips using Phillips monitors and OBIX EFM system
* Operate CPAP equipment for babies awaiting transfer; ventilator use uncommon but possible
* Work alongside 1 OB tech per shift
* Follow AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios
* Charge RN takes patient assignment
* Document using EPIC charting system
* Blue scrubs provided
* 2-shift unit-specific orientation required; must be in state for full week of orientation
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE Certification
* Prior L&D experience required
* BSN not required
* Valid state license required for submission
* Must reside within 60 miles of facility; driver's license must be submitted

This acute care facility operates a dedicated Labor and Delivery unit featuring an 8-bed LDRP setup with one OR suite for cesarean sections and approximately 35 deliveries per month. The unit follows AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios and provides comprehensive support including OB technicians on every shift, anesthesia available during epidural administration, and access to respiratory equipment for neonatal care. The facility maintains a collaborative care environment with self-scheduling options and a supportive clinical team.
