Opportunity:

Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* Work five 8-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with holiday rotation
* No weekend requirement
* Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
* May be required to float or be permanently switched to ART, Main, or West Campus
* Floating to sister facilities required
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Travel experience required
* Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap required
* Preferred case experience includes: Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Ortho, Transplant, and GYN
* Required certifications: CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM/HSPA
* BLS not required
* Required skills include: High-Level Disinfection (HLD), Immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS), Steam Sterilization Testing/monitoring, Scope/Probe Reprocessing, Sets/Tray Assembly, Biological and Chemical Indicators, Sterilization Wrapping Procedures, Use of Washers/Sterilizers, and Robotics
* Experience with a variety of specialties including Cardiac, Orthopedics, Neurology, OB/GYN, Urology, Ophthalmology, Laparoscopic, and Transplant procedures preferred
* Serves patient age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Parking available nights and weekends only with a one-time payment of $20 for a parking pass

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. It is a large, full-service healthcare organization equipped to handle the most complex medical cases, offering comprehensive specialty and surgical services. The facility maintains high standards of care and supports a wide range of surgical specialties, making it an excellent environment for experienced sterile processing professionals.
