Opportunity:

Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* 5x8 hour shifts, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with holiday rotation
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* Floating within scope to meet facility needs required
* May be required to float or be permanently switched to CSC, ART, or West Campus
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Travel experience required
* Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap required
* Preferred case experience includes: Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Ortho, Transplant, and GYN
* Required certifications: CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM/HSPA
* BLS not required
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks as part of guaranteed hours policy
* No more than 2 callouts without a doctor's note; 3rd callout may result in removal
* No more than 3 tardies permitted
* Expected to work holidays if not included in approved time off requests
* Will be assigned to Inclement Weather Team A or B per management expectations
* Skills include: sterilization wrapping procedures, high-level disinfection, immediate-use steam sterilization, scope/probe reprocessing, sets/tray assembly, use of washers/sterilizers, biological and chemical indicators, and fiber optics
* Case types include: Cardiac, Orthopedics, Neurology, Robotics, Urology, OB/GYN, ENT, Ophthalmology, Transplant, Laparoscopic, and General
* Serves patient age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Parking available nights and weekends only with a one-time $20 parking pass fee

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, Teaching Facility, and Magnet Hospital with 820 total staffed beds. It is a large, full-service healthcare organization offering a wide range of specialized surgical and clinical services. The facility maintains high standards of patient care and supports a diverse team of healthcare professionals across multiple campuses and departments.
