Job Details:

* Position may float between units including Mother/Baby or other areas within the facility
* Some weekend shifts required
* No on-call required
* Labor patient ratio 1:2; Antepartum patient ratio 1:3
* 48-hour shifts approved
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Scrub color: Any color for RN
* No parking fee
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* At least 1 year of L&D experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP
* Must be comfortable with high-risk Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, Pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, VBAC/TOLAC, active management of laboring patients, induction/augmentation, and maternal emergencies
* Key skills include: administration of blood and blood products, amnioinfusion, antepartum care, anticoagulation therapy, cesarean section support, circulating and scrubbing for C-sections, epidural anesthesia management, external and internal fetal monitoring, HELLP syndrome, hemorrhage/shock management, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy, neonatal resuscitation, postpartum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, and VBAC management
* Must be comfortable treating patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
* Facility performs approximately 3,600 deliveries per year
* Special procedures include insulin drips, magnesium sulfate, PUBS, cerclages, versions, high-risk MFM patients, and cardiac patients
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

This short-term acute care facility is a Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 staffed beds. As a teaching hospital, it provides a dynamic and educational environment for healthcare professionals. The facility offers robust interdisciplinary support services and is equipped to handle a wide range of complex and high-risk cases, including approximately 3,600 deliveries per year in its Labor and Delivery unit.
