Opportunity:
Acute Care OT
Job Details:
* Block schedule required
* Weekends required, approximately 4 weekend days per month
* No on-call required
* Position will float between units
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
* Daily census of approximately 165 patients
* Oregon license required
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Inpatient acute care hospital experience is a hard stop requirement - candidates without this experience will not be considered
* Large acute care hospital experience and employment background preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS, NBCOT
* Required skills include: acute care, assessment, discharge planning, evaluation, home exercise program, lifting and transfer, patient and family education, plan of care, reassessments, safety and injury prevention, and telephone calls
* Scrub color: any color; OR/Cath Lab scrubs provided
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* 2 professional references required, covering 1 year within the last 3 years, to be submitted during compliance process prior to start
Facility:
This short-term acute care teaching hospital operates with nearly 500 beds and features several accredited programs, making it one of the larger healthcare facilities in the region. The facility supports a comprehensive interdisciplinary care model and utilizes Epic for charting. Parking is available at no cost to staff.
