RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

* 12-hour day shifts with weekends scheduled as needed
* Typically scheduled for 1 out of every 2 weekends
* No standby or on-call requirement
* Acute care setting with 30-bed unit
* Patient ratios of 1:6/7 - must be comfortable with ratio up to 1:7
* Common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, rule-out cholecystitis, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
* Telemetry monitored remotely by monitor technicians
* RNs required to titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results
* Intermittent BiPAP management required; no ventilator management
* Charge RN on the floor with assignment
* PCTs available on the unit
* Floating to other units as needed based on census; travel nurses floated first
* Up to 2 shift cancellations per 13-week contract
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius
* Must submit a copy of unexpired driver's license with application
* Any licensing hits must be disclosed at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
