Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Emergency Room
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Overtime begins at the 49th hour
* At least 6 weekend shifts required in a 6-week schedule
* Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 40-bed unit with a daily census of 90
* First-time travelers welcome
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Experience with Epic charting system preferred
* Serves patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
* Additional preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, general emergency department combined adult/pediatric care, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their scope based on facility needs

This facility is a well-equipped emergency department offering comprehensive care for patients across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics. The unit consists of 40 beds and supports a daily census of 90 patients, with robust interdisciplinary services including respiratory care, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams. The facility is part of a larger healthcare network and supports a wide range of emergency and trauma care needs.
