PCU RN - Flex Pool

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Schedule is 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Patient ratios of 3-4:1
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Weekends required as needed
* No on-call required
* Floating required to MS/Tele units (Humphrey, 3 North, 3 West, Kendrick, and 2 East) and Cardiac Monitoring Room
* Must be comfortable floating without restrictions
* Experience with cardiac drips (no vasopressors) required
* Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias required
* RNs must read and interpret their own strips
* Hospital has a Vascular Access Team (VAT) that assists with difficult IVs
* Cares for a wide variety of high acuity patients including level 1 traumas, post bariatric surgery, and general surgical and medical patients with complex needs
* Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrub color: Any color permitted for RNs
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid compact license required
* Must adhere to quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)
* Must be available to work 2 recognized facility holidays

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility is a Teaching Hospital and Level I Trauma Center with 268 total staffed beds. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The Progressive Care Unit consists of 34 beds and maintains a daily census of approximately 27 patients, providing high-quality care to a diverse patient population.
