Job Details:

* Minimum 3 years of experience required in a high acuity and high-paced environment; 5 years of high risk experience highly preferred
* Work every other weekend and holidays as needed
* Schedule is posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs
* Float required between Postpartum and Antepartum units and may float to sister facilities for Mother/Baby coverage
* Function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and continue care of the newborn until transfer to Postpartum HARD STOP REQUIREMENT
* Must be able to circulate for C-sections HARD STOP REQUIREMENT
* Must provide newborn care including eye drops, Vitamin K injections (thighs), and newborn assessments HARD STOP REQUIREMENT
* High Risk/High Volume L&D experience required across all delivery types
* Must be comfortable working in fast-paced, high acuity environments with 4 operating rooms
* Experience with Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate drips required
* EPIC electronic fetal monitoring experience required HARD STOP
* Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines with a patient ratio of 1:2
* Average daily census of 15 patients; 500?600 deliveries per month across 31 rooms and 31 beds
* Patient population includes midwifery clients, private OB patients, adult recovery services supporting substance recovery, and community care clinic patients
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and interpretation services
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP
* Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Orientation: 36 hours

Facility:

This facility is a high-volume, high-risk Labor and Delivery unit operating within a large health system that includes multiple campuses. The unit features 31 beds and 4 operating rooms, supporting a broad range of obstetric cases including complex and high-risk deliveries. The facility follows AWHONN staffing guidelines and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams to ensure exceptional patient care.
