Job Details:
* 13-week assignment in the Operating Room
* 36-hour weekly guarantee
* Must have Idaho RN license at time of submission
* Start date of 10/26 or later - cannot start earlier
* Operating room staffing runs across multiple shifts Monday through Friday:
- 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM: 13 RNs/13 CSTs covering up to 10 rooms
- 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM: 8 RNs/8 CSTs covering up to 7 rooms
- 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM: 6 RNs/5 CSTs covering up to 4 rooms
- 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM: 3 RNs/2 CSTs covering up to 2 rooms
- 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM: 1 RN/1 CST covering trauma
* Weekend coverage: 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM with 1 RN/1 CST for trauma; Saturday includes an additional call team for two rooms from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM
* Rotate weekend call every four weeks; call is utilized to fill evening and night staffing holes Monday through Thursday and is evenly distributed among the team
* Typical call shifts are 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours
* Every attempt is made to not schedule more than 60 hours of work and call combined in a week
* Shift and call flexibility required
* Minimum 3 years of operating room experience required
* Trauma experience required
* CNOR certification preferred
* Burn, robotic, and neuro experience preferred
* Procedures performed include burn wound debridement and skin grafting, dental restoration and oral maxillofacial, ENT, gastroenterology, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, open heart surgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, psychiatry (ECT), robotics, trauma, and urology
* EMR system: Meditech
* Required certification: BLS
* Dress code: Per AORN standards
* Ideal candidate is open and outgoing, forward thinking, a team player, and possesses excellent critical thinking skills
Facility:
This facility operates a comprehensive Operating Room department with 13 ORs and a robust team of 25 RNs and 29 CSTs. The unit handles a wide variety of surgical specialties including trauma, burn, neuro, open heart, robotics, and more. The facility maintains 24/7 trauma coverage and supports high-acuity patients across multiple surgical disciplines, offering a dynamic and fast-paced surgical environment.
