NICU
Job Details:
* 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required
* Patient ratios of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
* Float required to like assignments throughout the hospital
* Ohio single state or compact/multi-state license required
* Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU specialty required
* Level IV NICU experience required
* Ventilator and trach experience required
* Pediatric experience preferred
* Epic charting experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP
* Care for neonates and infants with high acuity surgical, gastrointestinal, respiratory, and neurological conditions
* Work in a Level IV NICU with a regional high acuity Fetal Care Center
* High volume of intubated and acute infants on the unit
* Patient diagnoses include Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Intraventricular Hemorrhage, Prematurity of the Neonate, Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia, Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia, Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome, Failure to Thrive, Necrotizing Enterocolitis, Tracheal Esophageal Fistula, Myelomeningocele, Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy, Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome, Gastroschisis, Omphalocele, Genetic Defects, Hypoglycemia, Hyperbilirubinemia, Hydrocephalus, Renal Failure, Seizure Disorders, and Pulmonary Hypertension
* Special equipment includes Nitric Oxide, Servo Ventilators, Hi Flow Nasal Cannula, Ram Cannula, Bubble CPAP, EVD, Shunts, G-tubes, Trachs, Giraffe Beds, Moog Feeding Pumps, Arterial Lines, Peritoneal Dialysis, Oscillators, and Bili Lights and Blankets
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
Facility:
This facility is a large pediatric healthcare organization operating a 90-bed Level IV NICU with a daily census of approximately 81 patients. The unit is supported by a regional high acuity Fetal Care Center and a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretaries.
