Opportunity:

LTAC ICU - NIGHT

Job Details:

* Night shift position in the LTAC ICU unit
* 36 or 48 hours per week accepted
* 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
* Varied 8-hour shifts starting at 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, or 9:00 AM
* Weekends supported by rotating on-call among 6 to 8 staff members
* On-call required after 5:00 PM daily and on weekends with primary and backup call coverage
* 13 to 26 week contract options available
* Staff work both the 12-bed ICU and 35-bed Med-Surg unit
* Float to Med-Surg required at a 1:5 patient ratio
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics (18 years and older)
* Patient diagnoses include vent weaning, wound care, spinal cord injury, and trach/peg management
* Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
* Neurology experience required
* LTAC experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* 1 year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: antiarrhythmics, anticoagulation therapy, arterial line management, mechanical ventilation management, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, central line care, chest tubes, complex wound care, tracheostomy care, stroke scale assessment, and weaning from mechanical ventilation, among others
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
