RN - SICU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Located on the 2nd floor of Building 7 within the Surgical ICU unit
* 26-bed unit with a staff of 15 per shift
* Night shift staffing includes 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech
* Patient ratios of 1:2, with 1:1 ratio for high acuity patients including post-CABG patients (estimated, not guaranteed)
* Work with specialized equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, hypothermia equipment, and ECMO
* EMR system: Meditech
* Care for trauma patients, post-CABG, post-TAVR, and general post-surgical ICU patients
* Perform procedures including chest tube management, central line care, and medication drips
* Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH stroke scale
* TNCC certification preferred
* Prior experience traveling to large trauma facilities preferred
* Ideal candidate is driven, organized, efficient, and maintains a positive and engaged attitude

This medical center is a large acute care hospital and major trauma facility offering a wide range of specialized services including surgical and intensive care. The Surgical ICU unit is equipped with advanced technology including ECMO, CRRT, balloon pumps, and hypothermia equipment to support the highest acuity patients. The facility utilizes Meditech as its EMR system and maintains a well-staffed unit with experienced nursing professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
