Opportunity:
ICU Nights
Job Details:
* Night shift position in the Intensive Care Unit
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week with 48 hours at straight time allowed
* Patient ratio of 1:2 maintained on days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
* May be floated to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, and CVICU with a maximum cap of 4 patients while floating
* 1.5+ years of experience required; first-time travel accepted
* Adults only patient population
* 32-bed unit with interdisciplinary support including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and more
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, neuro intensive care unit experience, post neurosurgery management, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and more
* Pending NM/Compact license accepted but must be obtained prior to start
* 50-mile local radius applies; local candidates not accepted

This facility is a comprehensive medical center offering advanced intensive care services with a dedicated 32-bed ICU. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The facility is affiliated with a heart hospital and provides a full spectrum of critical care services to adult patients.
