Job Details:
* Care for Trauma, Stroke, OB, and advanced cardiac patients
* Work in a 16-bed Emergency Department unit with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
* Administer critical drips as required
* Work every 3rd weekend including holidays when scheduled
* Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
* No on-call responsibilities
* Scrub color: Navy, Black, or Gray solid tops and bottoms
* EMR: EPIC experience highly preferred
* 24 months of current/recent Emergency Department experience required
* Recent travel experience highly preferred
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC
* De-Escalation Certificate (SAMA, MAB, MOAB, CPI) preferred - can be obtained during onboarding
* NIH Stroke Scale certificate nice to have - can be obtained during onboarding
* Iowa nursing license required - must show Active Iowa/IA license or compact/Multi-state at time of submission
* Skills checklist specific to Emergency Department discipline required
* Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager/director/CNO/COO within 24 months preferred
* Valid driver's license required
* All candidates must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license
