Job Details:

* 4x12 night shift schedule
* Orthopedic experience required
* Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required
* Patient ratio of 1:5
* 10-bed unit
* First-time travelers accepted
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, ACLS
* Provide specialized care to patients with musculoskeletal issues, including those recovering from orthopedic surgeries or injuries
* Manage chronic musculoskeletal conditions and educate patients and families on care and prevention
* Respond to life-threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions
* Organize care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating, and communicating with all necessary providers and leaders
* Required skills include: blood product administration, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care, heparin and insulin administration, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, ortho trauma, oxygen administration, PCA, peripheral line care and management, peripheral nerve block catheters, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, total joint replacement, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Adults only patient population
* 50-mile radius rule applies, no local candidates
