RN - Wound Care

Job Details:

* Block scheduling type
* Weekend coverage required on an as-needed basis
* No floating required
* No on-call required
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated; RTO must be 10 days or less
* No RTO within the first 2 weeks of the assignment
* 2 years of experience required; 1.5 years may be considered
* California RN license required and must be active at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS and Wound Care Certification (WCC or WOCN preferred); course completion certificates will not be accepted
* Epic charting system experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
* Patient diagnoses include HAPI, Wound Consults, Ostomy, and Wound VAC
* Special equipment used includes WoundVision and Wound VAC
* Serves patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Role functions as a consultant and educator
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, lift teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary

This large-scale healthcare facility operates with 886 beds and a daily census of 950, reflecting its significant capacity and high patient volume. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including respiratory, pharmacy, social services, and lift teams. It is a community hospital with LTAC experience preferred, serving a diverse patient population across all age groups in a well-resourced clinical environment.
