Opportunity:
Special Procedures Technologist
Job Details:
* Support Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro specialties
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week
* Block scheduling with attempts made to schedule as consistently as possible
* Weeknight and weekend call required
* On-call requirement: 8 call days within a 4-week period, with a 2-hour call back minimum
* 1 call weekend every 3-5 weeks covering Friday through Monday
* 24-hour on-call coverage required on Saturdays and Sundays
* Daily caseload of approximately 15 patients
* Float within cath lab unit as needed; no floating to sister facilities required
* Top procedures include Structural Heart (TAVR, Mitraclip, Watchman), IR, Neuro, Vascular, Cardiac, and EP
* Common equipment includes Philips imaging systems, Philips Xper hemo system, Philips IVUS/IFR/FFR, Boston IVUS IFR/FFR, OCT, Roto, Penumbra, Angiojet, Jetstream, EKOS, and Shockwave
* Required skills include angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures, PCI, PTCA, embolization, endovascular interventions, EVAR, TEVAR, thrombolysis/thrombectomy, rotablator atherectomy, scrub procedures, sterile technique, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
* Must be proficient in scrubbing and maintaining a sterile field
* Experience with vascular, neuro, and cardiac procedures required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, ARRT (R), BLS, and active State License
* Electronic charting system experience required
* Treats patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* First-time travelers accepted
Facility:
This facility is a large hospital with 220 beds and 5 specialized procedural rooms supporting a high-volume cath lab environment. The facility offers robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more. The cath lab specializes in advanced structural heart procedures and complex interventional cases across cardiac, vascular, neuro, and electrophysiology specialties.
