Opportunity:

CT Technologist - Radiology

Job Details:

* Wednesday and Thursday shifts from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM
* Every other Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts included in schedule
* Call shifts may be required a couple days per month: Monday through Friday 5:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Saturday 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM, and Sunday 7:00 AM to 6:00 AM
* 30-minute response time required for call shifts (back-up only, always someone in house)
* Call rotation is every 6th week
* Every other weekend required
* Occasional holiday rotation with permanent staff
* Float between two campuses approximately 16 minutes apart as needed
* Perform CT scans with and without contrast
* Average of 16 to 24 scans per day
* Experience in ER and inpatient settings required
* Must be able to start IVs
* May be asked to precept as needed by the unit
* Work with 3 GE scanners (one 16-slice and two 64-slice)
* Charting system: MEDITECH / Fuji PACS
* Trauma Level 3, Acute Care setting
* Black scrubs required, not provided by facility
* Department-specific orientation provided
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT (CT)
* Texas MRT license required
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates at a Trauma Level 3 designation and features a radiology department equipped with three GE CT scanners, including one dedicated to the emergency room and two in the main department. The facility supports both ER and inpatient imaging needs and maintains radiologist coverage in-house during the day with virtual coverage at night for emergencies. The department utilizes MEDITECH for charting and Fuji for PACS, providing a modern and well-supported imaging environment.
