Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - Interventional Radiology

Job Details:

* 4x10 hour shifts with two 30-minute breaks
* Every other weekend requirement
* Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays per unit needs
* On call every 3rd week from Monday to Sunday
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* EPIC charting experience required
* Active NJ or Compact nursing license required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Must be a proficient PICC and Midline nurse with ability to administer moderate sedation and circulate in IR procedures
* Procedural experience in OR/CVOR, Cath Lab, or ICU/CCU background will be considered
* Required clinical skills include: central line insertion/management, PICC care, implanted ports, IV therapy, infusion pumps, and blood product administration
* Must be proficient in central venous access, thoracic aortography, end-tidal CO2 monitoring, procedural sedation monitoring, and radiation/laser safety
* Must be able to perform or assist with chest tube placement, lung biopsy, pulmonary angiography/embolization, thoracentesis, chemoembolization, liver biopsy/ablation, paracentesis, and TIPS
* Must be proficient in nephrostomy, renal angiography/stent, uterine arterial embolization, emergency medications, sedation administration/monitoring, and reversal agents
* Candidates must float within their skillset without exception
* Patient ratios vary based on census, patient acuity, and staffing
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred

This 665-bed quaternary care teaching hospital is affiliated with a leading New Jersey medical school and is nationally recognized for its cardiac and transplant programs. The facility is home to one of the nation's largest heart transplant centers and the state's only Advanced Lung Disease and Transplant Program. The Interventional Radiology department performs minimally invasive, image-guided procedures across vascular, oncologic, and complex medical conditions for a high-acuity patient population, including cardiac and transplant cases.
