Job Details:

* Night shift position working 3 x 12-hour shifts per week (36 or 48 hours per week)
* Varied 8-hour shift options also available Monday through Friday, starting at 7:00 AM, 7:30 AM, 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, or 9:00 AM
* Weekend coverage supported by rotating on-call among 6 to 8 staff members
* On-call required after 5:00 PM daily and on weekends, supported by primary and backup call
* 13 to 26 week contract options available
* 2 years of ICU experience required
* LTAC experience preferred
* Neurology experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
* Float requirement to Med Surg at a 1:5 patient ratio
* Staff work both the 12-bed ICU and 35-bed Med Surg unit
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics (18 years and older)
* Patient diagnoses include vent weaning, wound care, spinal cord injury, and trach/PEG
* Required clinical skills include arterial line management, IV vasopressors, mechanical ventilation management, tracheostomy care, continuous IV sedation, central line care, chest tubes, stroke scale assessment, and complex wound care
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Scheduling type: block scheduling

This healthcare facility operates a 12-bed ICU alongside a 35-bed Med Surg unit, with staff expected to work across both units. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary services.
