Job Details:

* Night shift position working 12-hour shifts
* Work 3-4 weekend shifts on a 28-day schedule
* Self-scheduling available, with schedule balanced by department leadership based on experience and skill set
* Minimum 2 years of experience working in an L&D setting required
* Active California RN license required
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (American Heart Association), NRP, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification or equivalent
* Care for high-risk patients including high diabetic population
* Follow AWHONN staffing standards: 1:1 ratio for patients 6cm or greater dilated or on Magnesium/insulin drip; 1:2 ratio for all other patients
* Work within an 8 LDR, 2 Triage, 2 OR, and 2 PACU bed unit
* RN will follow scheduled C-Section patients through entire care until sign off
* Charting system: Meditech (PCS for L&D; ORM for Surgical) and OBIX for fetal surveillance
* Medication administration via Pyxis; IV Pumps: Solaris; WOWs provided to each RN for charting
* Scrubs are provided for travelers working in L&D
* Must be comfortable with Pyxis MedStation ES and BD Pyxis Med Link modules
* 3-4 shifts of unit orientation provided prior to being assigned patients

This facility is a 172-bed Level II Trauma Center and teaching hospital, serving as the only trauma center in its county and many surrounding communities. The facility has been recognized for excellence in patient care and operates a dedicated Women's Services department with comprehensive labor and delivery capabilities. The unit supports a wide range of obstetric procedures and maintains high standards of staffing and patient care.
