Opportunity:

Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab

Job Details:

* Work 4 shifts of 10 hours per shift, from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
* Friday through Monday schedule, primarily in the Inpatient Rehab Unit (IRU) with float to acute setting when volumes are low
* Rotating weekend requirements approximately every 4th weekend, unless assigned to weekends as a regular shift
* Holiday coverage as needed
* No self-scheduling
* Treat 10 to 12 patients per day alongside 6 to 7 physical therapists
* Common diagnoses include orthopedic total joints, neurological conditions including strokes, occasional brain injuries, medical cases, and general ICU patients
* Cover Acute Inpatient and Rehab settings, with potential ICU coverage depending on experience and need
* Work collaboratively with rehab aides and 2 PTAs
* Charting system: EPIC
* Must have a minimum of 1 year of licensed experience in acute inpatient or rehab settings
* First-time travelers are welcome
* Required certifications: BLS
* State licensure required
* Scrubs permitted; must not match the color of other departments - list of colors provided upon hire
* Orientation typically consists of 2 to 3 days in the department, with travelers expected to work Monday through Friday on 8-hour shifts to accommodate the onboarding schedule

Facility:

This Level 3 Trauma Center provides comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation and acute care services. The facility operates a dedicated Physical Therapy department with a collaborative team environment, supporting patients through a variety of orthopedic, neurological, and medical conditions. The department is well-staffed with physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and rehab aides, and is supported by an on-site manager to ensure quality patient care.
