Opportunity:

PTA / Outpatient Rehab Dept.

Job Details:

* Outpatient setting, Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM
* Hours may vary depending on patient schedule
* Daily census of 10 patients with up to 10 visits per day
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Must hold active South Carolina state licensure at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
* Required certifications: BLS
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Must adhere to 50-mile radius rule
* Candidates may float within the hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby
* Skills required include but are not limited to: gait training, therapeutic exercise, assistive devices, home exercise program development, patient and family education, lifting and transfer techniques, moist heat, cryotherapy, e-stim, ultrasound, extremity mobilization, myofascial release, cervical and lumbar traction, McKenzie techniques, vital sign monitoring, and strength testing
* Conditions treated include low back pain, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, degenerative joint disease, osteoarthritis, total hip and knee replacements, hip fractures, knee and elbow injuries/tendinopathy, frozen shoulder, cervicalgia, spinal conditions, Parkinson's disease, post-stroke rehabilitation, and ankle sprains
* 2 supervisory references required
* Keep requested time off to a minimum; any time off must be approved and documented prior to assignment start
* Expect to work some holidays

This outpatient rehabilitation facility provides comprehensive physical therapy services to adult and geriatric populations. The department operates within a structured clinical environment supported by unit secretaries and interdisciplinary staff. The facility maintains 25 rooms and beds, offering a well-equipped setting focused on delivering quality rehabilitative care across a wide range of orthopedic and neurological conditions.
