Job Details:

* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience required; highly preferred 5 years of high risk experience
* Must have experience in high acuity and high pace environments
* Schedule posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs; work every other weekend and holidays as needed
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
* Float required between Postpartum, Antepartum, and sister facilities that provide Mother/Baby care
* Average daily census of 15 patients per day with 500-600 deliveries per month
* Unit consists of 31 rooms and 31 beds with 4 operating rooms
* Must be able to circulate for C-sections - hard stop requirement
* Must function in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and continue care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum - hard stop requirement
* Must provide newborn care including eye drops, Vitamin K injections, thigh injections, and newborn assessments - hard stop requirement
* Experience with Epic electronic fetal monitoring required - hard stop requirement
* Must be comfortable administering Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate
* Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines
* Patient population includes midwifery clients, private OB patients, Adult Recovery Services supporting substance recovery, and community care clinic patients
* Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, and geriatrics
* Patient ratio experience of 1:2 required
* Interdisciplinary support available including Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP
* Preferred certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 supervisory references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

This facility operates a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery unit with 31 beds and 4 operating rooms, delivering 500-600 babies per month. The unit follows AWHONN staffing guidelines and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams. The facility serves a diverse patient population and is committed to delivering quality maternal and newborn care across multiple campuses.
