Opportunity:

Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* Temp to perm opportunity
* 5x8 shifts, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM with holiday rotation
* Rotating weekend schedule required
* May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs, including to sister facilities and potentially CSC, ART, or West Campus
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap required
* Preferred case experience includes: Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Ortho, Transplant, and GYN
* Required certifications: CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM/HSPA
* BLS not required
* Travel experience required
* Skills required include: aseptic technique, biological and chemical indicators, high-level disinfection (HLD), immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS), scope/probe reprocessing, sets/tray assembly, sterilization wrapping procedures, use of washers/sterilizers, and Ortho/Totals/Neuro/Cranial procedures
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks for guaranteed hours
* No more than 2 callouts permitted without a doctor's note; 3rd callout may result in removal
* No more than 3 tardies permitted
* Travelers expected to work holidays if not requested in advance via RTO
* Will be assigned to Inclement Weather Team A or B with expectations provided by management
* Parking cost applies nights and weekends only; one-time payment of $20 for parking pass
* All RTO must be provided at time of submission; no RTO will be approved after contract is signed

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital with 820 total staffed beds. It supports a wide range of surgical specialties and serves patient populations across all age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The facility maintains high standards for sterile processing and surgical support services across multiple campuses.
