Opportunity:
OT - Hand Therapy
Job Details:
* 8-hour day shifts
* See approximately 12 patients per day
* Treat patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* May float to Mission Bay, Mount Zion, or Bayfront facilities
* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* Hand clinic experience preferred
* Adult outpatient experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Charting in Epic required
* Required certifications: California OT License, AHA BLS
* Preferred certifications: CHT (Certified Hand Therapist), AOTA Hand/Upper Extremity Certification
* MS/MA Degree preferred
* Treat conditions including post-op orthopedic aftercare, acute fractures of the hand, wrist and elbow, mallet finger, flexor and extensor tendon injuries and repairs, brachial plexus injuries, peripheral nerve injuries, CMC arthritis, cubital/carpal/radial tunnel syndrome, and degloving injuries
* Perform custom orthoses fabrication for post-op hand/upper extremity and acute fractures
* Implement post-op protocols for orthoses, protection, and exercise
* Deliver therapeutic exercise programs and manual therapy
* Utilize modalities including ultrasound, TENS, and biofeedback
* Required skills include splinting, dynamic and static splints, edema massage, electrical stimulation, kinesiotaping, myofascial release, nerve injury management, paraffin bath, soft tissue injury treatment, and upper extremity care
* Equipment used includes custom orthoses fabrication equipment, ultrasound, TENS, and biofeedback units
