RN - Emergency Department
Job Details:
* 15-week contract for holiday coverage
* Shift options include Days (7:00 AM?7:00 PM, 9:00 AM?9:00 PM), Mids (10:00 AM?10:00 PM, 11:00 AM?11:00 PM, 12:00 PM?12:00 AM, 1:00 PM?1:00 AM, 2:00 PM?2:00 AM), Evenings (3:00 PM?3:00 AM), and Nights (7:00 PM?7:00 AM)
* Every other weekend rotation required with occasional back-to-back weekends; flexibility preferred
* No on-call or floating requirements
* Scrub color: Any color, no logos
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a large volume, high acuity emergency department required
* First-time travelers will be considered
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
* EMR: Epic experience required
* Must pass hospital's Triage Test before being permitted to triage patients
* Required skills include barcode scanning medication administration, managing medication drips, blood product administration, triage, chest tube setup, arterial line management, trauma and code case assistance, splinting, BiPAP/ventilator management, and strong understanding of ESI
* Pediatric emergency medicine experience highly preferred
* Experience with Point of Care Labs is a plus
* Patient population ranges from neonates to geriatric patients including Level III trauma, pediatric medical and trauma, stroke (administer TNK), cardiac (cath lab), behavioral health, and substance use disorder cases
* Patient ratios of 1:3?5 based on acuity; emergency department is organized in zones including a fast track green zone with 13 beds

This is a 226-bed Level III non-profit community hospital featuring a 34-bed emergency department that sees 200?250 patients per day, making it one of the busiest emergency departments in the state. The facility operates as a Level III trauma center and provides comprehensive emergency services across multiple zones, supporting a wide range of patient needs from minor urgent care to high-acuity trauma and specialty cases. The organization is equipped to stabilize and transfer complex cases including neurosurgery, multi-system trauma, and high-acuity pediatric patients.
