Job Details:

* Night shift position in Labor & Delivery
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend required with 12 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 3:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 11-room/11-bed LDRP unit
* 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers welcome
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Charting system experience required - Epic
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
* Must be comfortable caring for laboring patients, couplet care, and triage
* Required skills include: assisting with vaginal delivery, breastfeeding/lactation support, cesarean section, couplet care, episiotomy/incisional care, infant identification, labor & delivery, LDRP, mother/baby, newborn assessment, newborn hypoglycemia, phototherapy, C-section recovery, thermoregulation, triage of obstetrical patients, and vaginal delivery
* Most newborns will room in with parents as couplet care is provided
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* May be required to float to like units within scope based on facility needs

This facility operates a dedicated LDRP unit with 11 beds and rooms, providing comprehensive labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. The unit emphasizes family-centered care with a couplet care model where newborns room in with parents. The facility offers robust interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, social services, and interpretation services to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
