Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Rotating weekend schedule with 4 weekend shifts per schedule; holidays per unit policy
* No on-call requirements
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* 13-week assignment
* Minimum 2+ years of emergency room experience required
* Active Texas RN license required; temporary licenses will not be accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale
* Meditech experience preferred
* Perform and assist with urgent care, stroke, STEMI, and pediatric cases
* All travelers required to float per facility floating policy
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Dress code: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket for RNs; clean and healthy nails; neat and clean hair with no extreme styles or colors; body art should be covered whenever possible; visible piercings other than ears are prohibited

Facility:

This freestanding emergency center operates 24/7, 365 days a year and is the first of its kind in South and Central Texas. The facility features 15 treatment rooms including two trauma/cardiac care rooms, five emergency treatment rooms, four fast-track non-urgent treatment rooms, and four observation beds. A full range of services is available including radiology, full-service laboratory, and telemetry, along with specialized diagnostic equipment such as a 16-slice CT scanner, dedicated x-ray suite, and ultrasound equipment. The center stabilizes critical patients and coordinates air and ground transport to San Antonio for those requiring advanced care.
