Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (5x8 shifts)
* Guaranteed 72 hours per 2-week period with the possibility of being called off for one 8-hour shift per 2-week period
* No on-call requirements
* No weekend requirements
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: NBSTSA, CSPDT, CBSPD, or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification required (HSPA or CBSPD cert required - but not both)
* Charting system experience required; Epic used at facility
* Scrub color: Any or Business Casual
* Surgical cases include general surgery, orthopedics, endoscopy, and OB/GYN
* Lesser volume cases include podiatry, ENT, urology, and dental
* Required skills include: acute hospital OR, cleaning equipment (crash carts, IV pumps, PCA pumps), high-level disinfection (HLD), use of washers/sterilizers, case cart, proper selection of wrapping materials, sterilization wrapping procedures, sets/trays assembly, equipment documentation, biological indicators, chemical indicators, steam sterilization testing/monitoring, and immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS)
* Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission

Facility:

This acute care medical center also encompasses long-term care and outpatient services, operating as a Level IV Trauma and Critical Access Hospital. The facility maintains 46 acute care beds and 22 long-term care beds, supporting a wide range of surgical specialties. The organization provides housing accommodations and a rental car or vehicle to traveling clinicians during their assignment, with housing typically consisting of one-bedroom apartments.
