Job Details:

* 26-week assignment with night shifts scheduled 4x12 hours
* Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period with the possibility of being called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks
* Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend based on staffing needs
* Float required to lower acuity units, renal care, neuro, and medical-surgical units as needed
* No on-call required
* Block scheduling not available
* Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Alaska RN license required; pending license accepted but must be in hand for offer
* Bedside RN patient ratio is 1:4; CNA patient ratio is 1:6
* Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model utilized each patient is supported by 1 bedside RN, 1 Virtual RN, and 1 CNA
* Care for a diverse stepdown patient population transitioning from ICU across multiple disciplines
* Approximately 30% of patient population is cardiac in nature including CHF, MI, TAVR, MVR, pacemaker, cardiac arrhythmia, ACS, and Angiovac patients
* Respiratory patients including COPD, asthma exacerbations, trach patients, chronic home ventilators, high flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP management
* Overflow care for neuro and renal patients as well as complex medical-surgical patients requiring higher monitoring levels
* Special equipment includes Philips Monitors in each room, Massimo Capnography, and safe patient handling equipment
* Scrubs are provided by the facility
* Parking is free
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All time-off requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
