Opportunity:

Operating Room - CVOR Tech 10HR - DAYS

Job Details:

* Day shift position with 10-hour shifts
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week
* Monday through Friday schedule with one variable off day
* On-call required 2-3 times per week
* At least 1 weekend per month required (24 hours - Saturday and Sunday)
* Perform scrub tech duties in cardiovascular operating room setting
* Handle cases for adults, adolescents, and geriatrics including general and neuro surgery
* Cardiovascular case experience preferred
* Work within 12 operating rooms with 2 CVOR-specific rooms
* Scrub experience required
* 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required
* Block scheduling available
* Local candidates accepted
* Maximum of 1 request for time off
* Scrub color/attire provided by facility
* Charting performed in Cerner
* Required certifications: BLS, CST (NBSTSA strongly preferred)
* Required skills include: Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), CVOR, Mitral valve replacement, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/labeling, and Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
* Maryland or Compact license must be active and in hand
* Two supervisor references required
* Nicotine-free candidates only; facility maintains a strict no-tobacco policy

This acute care hospital features 178 staffed beds and operates 12 operating rooms to support a wide range of surgical specialties. The facility utilizes Cerner for charting and provides scrubs to clinical staff. Complimentary parking is available in the South Parking Garage, and the organization maintains a strict tobacco-free environment to uphold its commitment to health and wellness standards.
