Opportunity:
Registered Dietitian
Job Details:
* 5x8 shift schedule, Monday through Friday, with 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM start times
* Weekend requirement: every third week, with some holiday coverage as needed
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated and no time off requests within the first two weeks
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian required
* Active RD/RDN certification required at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted
* Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Proficiency with Epic charting system required; experience with Computrition preferred
* Healthcare food and nutrition service operations experience or comparable experience required
* Provide direct patient care in an inpatient acute care setting for adult patients
* Perform nutrition assessments and reassessments, calorie counts, and nutrition-focused physical exams
* Manage enteral nutrition (tube feedings) and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)
* Develop and coordinate plans of care in conjunction with the registered dietitian team
* Provide therapeutic diet orders and patient education within scope of practice
* Reconcile nutrition orders between systems and oversee meal time programs
* Contribute to the fiscal management of food service operations
* Must be able to stand and walk for the greater portion of the assigned shift
* Strong organizational, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills required
* Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint required
* Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
* Two supervisor-level references from within the past year of employment required at time of submission
* Flu vaccination required with no exemptions
