Opportunity:
RN - Labor and Delivery
Job Details:
* 13 or 26 week contracts available
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First time travelers accepted
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred
* Staffing ratio of 1:1-3
* Care for patient age groups including adolescents, infants, and adults
* Patient diagnoses include labor and preterm labor
* Unit includes 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
* Responsibilities include circulating, OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op, scrubbing, low risk antepartum, and low risk labor and delivery
* Special procedures include blood and blood products administration, cardioversion and defibrillation, cooling and warming blanket, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate therapy
* Attends all deliveries including high risk deliveries
* Supports GYN surgeries, couplet care, low risk antepartum, and transition nursery
* Float required to post-partum and possibly labor and delivery at a sister facility based on skill set
* Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

This facility is part of a well-established healthcare network offering comprehensive labor and delivery services in a teaching hospital environment. The unit is equipped to handle a high volume of births per month ranging from 200 to 300 and supports a wide range of obstetric and gynecological procedures. The facility provides interdisciplinary support and maintains high standards for patient care across all stages of labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
