Opportunity:

Ophthalmic Technician

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday shift from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 1-2 required Saturday shifts per month from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
* No floating required
* No on-call required
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Ophthalmic Tech Diploma from an accredited program required
* Optos experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), COT
* Active license required at time of submission - pending licenses not accepted
* First-time travelers accepted
* Perform diagnostic and eye function tests including clinical optics, ocular motility, visual fields, keratometry, topography, A-scans, and Schirmer tests
* Assist ophthalmologist during examinations and surgeries
* Prepare exam rooms and patients for exams and surgeries
* Perform auto-refraction and intraocular pressure measurements
* Conduct corneal topography, fundus photography, and Humphrey visual field analysis
* Obtain and record medical history, vital signs, and visual acuity and color vision testing
* Place dilating drops in eyes as ordered
* Treat patients of all ages including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, multi-provider office environment required
