RN - 3N MS/IMC
Job Details:
* Work 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend and holiday required
* Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 on days through 2300 and 1:5-6 on nights after 2300
* No self-scheduling; block scheduling available if it meets unit needs
* Friday/Saturday/Sunday shift option available
* No on-call or standby requirement unless for an extra shift
* Floating to other units as needed based on census
* No scrubs provided and no required scrub color
* 1 shift of HR onboarding and 1 shift of unit-specific orientation required
* Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a busy hospital environment required
* Experience with post-procedural cath lab patients required
* Experience managing TR band compression devices, chest pain, and post cardiac surgical patients required
* Common diagnoses include cardiac medical and surgical patients including post cath lab procedures (stent, pacemaker, ICD, watchman, mitral clip, TAVR), post cardiac surgery (CABG, valve replacements), AFib, chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, syncope, and bradycardia with temporary pacemaker
* Required to titrate drips including Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Bumex, and Dobutamine (no vasopressors)
* 24/7 central telemetry unit monitors all non-critical care patients and reads strips
* Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for nebulizers, inhalers, CPAP, BiPAP, and Vapotherm support; RNs responsible for incentive spirometry
* Nurse aides on unit with ratios of 1:10 on days, 1:10-12 on PMs, and 1:15 after 2300
* Charge RN takes a modified assignment
* Charting system: Cerner
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
* Unit has 29 beds and is a Level 2 Trauma facility
