Job Details:

* Inpatient psychiatry position with 7 days on/7 days off schedule
* Shifts run from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* 1 to 2 nights of call per 7-day shift block
* Work on a 24-bed inpatient unit with ER and general hospital consults
* Must be willing to see patients of all ages and diagnoses in the ER and for general hospital consultation
* Adolescent inpatient unit includes 6 beds; adult unit is general adult psychiatry
* May utilize telemedicine to connect with general hospital, though inpatient unit is directly adjacent and walkable
* Typically work alongside 1 to 2 APPs, though coverage may vary
* Support staff includes social work, discharge team, and intake team
* Must be willing to collaborate with another psychiatrist on the 7 days on/off rotation; typical changeover day is Thursday
* Board Certified required
* Proficiency with Epic EMR required
* Must be able to complete full orientation prior to start

This facility is a full-service inpatient hospital offering comprehensive psychiatric care across both adolescent and adult populations. The inpatient psychiatric unit is directly adjacent to the general hospital, allowing for seamless collaboration and consultation services. The facility supports providers with a multidisciplinary team including APPs, social workers, discharge planners, and an intake team to ensure well-rounded patient care.
